M106 Spiral Galaxy in LRGB + Halpha

Taken on March 7 and 8, 2004 from my backyard in Castro Valley, Ca.

Astro-Physics AP155EDF  imaging scope @1085mm focal length (f/7) 

SBIG ST10XME imaging camera @ -26C

Astro-Physics 80mm guide scope

SBIG ST7E Guide control camera @-10C

FLI CFW 1 filter wheel

Optec IR-Blocking Luminance Filter

Exposure details:

6 exposures of 10 minutes each for Luminance

6 exposures of 10 minutes each for R, G, B (2x2 binned)

6 exposures of 20 minutes each for Halpha

6 exposures of 30 minutes each for Halpha

9 hours total exposure time

Maxim DL used for ST10XME control and processing

Russ Croman's Sigma Reject Plugin for Maxim DL used for Darks, Flats, Biases and image combine

CCDSOFT 5.00.71 used for ST7E control

AIP4WIN used for Deconvolution

Photoshop CS used for final touch up
