A visit to Starbase Tokyo on October 8, 2009

A nice assortment of high end Takahashi telescopes are always on display at Starbase Tokyo

Yes that's an Epsilon 180ED in the foreground

And a Mewlon on the right and a few Vixens too.

Here is my favorite sushi bar in Tokyo. It is a no-frills "conveyor-belt" sushi bar is in the Shinagawa Station, about 6 train stops from Akihabara, where Starbase Tokyo is located. I can eat my fill of sushi here for 2000 to 2500 Yen. The exchange rate was 86.5 Yen to the US Dollar the day I visited. I can go in, eat, and leave in less than 30 minutes. It is really fantastically good sushi too: very fresh and very tasty.

The view from my hotel room looking southwest. Where's King Kong and Fay Wray?
